- The department grants the associate degree in computer science after the student completes 73 credit hours of study, with a cumulative GPA of no less than (2). The minimum period of study for students who hold a high school diploma to obtain a diploma is two years, while the maximum period is (4) years, noting that the academic year consists of two semesters in addition to the summer semester, in which registration is optional and according to the student’s desire. |
Conditions for admission to the department |

- The department accepts students who have a high school diploma from the scientific specialization only. According to the university admission policy and the measurement test. The admission system is summarized as follows: - The student obtains a high school diploma or its equivalent. - The student must bring proof of taking the aptitude test. - The student passes the personal interview in the specializations that require a personal interview. - The student enjoys healthy fitness. - The student devotes himself to studying according to the time periods required by the study, whether morning or evening. |
Subject registration and academic advising |

Students are assigned to academic advisors from department professors to guide and guide them regarding registering subjects at the beginning of each semester. The student has the right to register (18) credit hours as a maximum in the regular semester, (9) hours as a minimum, and (9) hours as a maximum in the summer semester. Outstanding students who obtain a semester average of (3.5) or more are also entitled to register a maximum of (20) credit hours in the next regular semester. A student who is expected to graduate in a given semester has the right to register a maximum of (24) hours, even if his average in the previous semester was less than (2). |
